Windows 10 receives another update. The KB4515384 patch package is primarily a monthly set of security patches, but Microsoft has also released an important performance related update.

After installing KB4515384, users of Windows 10 1903 should no longer experience problems with unreasonable CPU usage. It is worth recalling that as a result of a malfunction and incorrect operation SearchUI.exe, the computer processor may have been unnaturally loaded, which could be felt as a decrease in system performance. By the way, the taskbar search engine was not able to provide relevant results.

Thus, previous assumptions that the correction of the described error will appear together with the September security updates have been confirmed. Previously, Microsoft did not provide a specific date when the patch will be released – it was only said about "mid-September".

Windows 10 security updates

However, the KB4515384 package is mainly a set of security patches. As usual, Microsoft has updated a number of system applications and services in this respect, including Edge and Internet Explorer browsers, and system components such as file system, kernel, virtualization and authentication.

A detailed list of all patches can be found on the Security Update Guide page, where individual patches can also be downloaded manually.

Windows 10 users who have not yet installed the May system update can use our guide, in which we suggest how to do it in several ways.
